Adventures in Weim World
Meet Misdemeanor (Missy) and Felony, sister and brother Weimaraners. This is part of the Adventures on Weim World tab, but I thought they need a proper introduction via a post.
We brought from friends of friends in Oklahoma City at six weeks of age in 2004. Little did I know just what Weims would and could do! I was not a dog person. Mr. O was raised with Weims, but neglected to fill me in on typical Weim behavior.
From the American Kennel Club.
FRIENDLY (We have that covered.)
FEARLESS (Applies to Missy. She hates the AC repair man. Felony is a big chicken.)
OBEDIENT (Seriously? Have you met my Weims?!)
Traits from my experience.

OBEDIENT (Seriously? Have you met my Weims?!)
Traits from my experience.
HIGH STRUNG (Oh, Felony, Felony, Felony. Missy was a Golden Retriever in a Weim body until this year.)
VELCRO DOGS (They stick like Velcro. Literally. Just try pealing Felony off during a thunderstorm.)
ATTENTIVE (Felony could do anything in the house if he had opposable thumbs.)
GASSY (They scare each other with their farts.)
GUARDIANS OF THE YARD (They protect the yard from birds, squirrels, raccoons, rabbits and skunks. Need I say more?)
The stories I have on these jokers. Destruction of metal downspouts, lawn ornaments and house siding. Escape onto the golf course. Frequent visits to the emergency vet. My favorite (not really) removal of invading skunks in the backyard.
Overall they are loving dogs and bring joy (and chaos) to our lives.

I hope you enjoy their tales.

Who is Mrs. O? Why I am living the chaos?
Ahhhh....the chaos of life. My days revolve around a work-at-home consulting business that requires some travel, playing chauffeur for the child, wife duties for Mr. O, maintaining a household, paying bills, washing and folding mountains of laundry, unloading the dreaded "clean" dishwasher and playing door-opener/feeder for two dogs. Yes, that takes up my time, everyday, almost 24/7.
Sound familiar? I bet you live it, too!
I am retentive and somewhat of a type-A personality which tends to cause me lots of stress. As we speak the child and Mr. O are re-arranging her bedroom so she can play the Wii easier. I refuse to go in there for fear of taking over, creating more chaos and butting heads with the type-A person I married. He commented that I will "freak out" when I see it. (I started the deep breathing exercises.)

OK, I admit it. I am a control freak. Things must be in order and my way. This brings to me to my favorite phrase I discovered a few years ago.
My escape from chaos is through books. Lots and lots of books. Thank goodness for e-readers or I would be in serious trouble when I travel! Reading was a part of my life as a child. I spent summers as a pre-teen devouring Nancy Drew mysteries. However, as an adult, the duties of college, jobs and family took over. I read less and less. Three years ago life threw me a curve ball and tilted my world on its axis. I questioned who I was (still do sometimes) and what was my purpose to my family and friends. I bought a Nook because I love tech gadgets and suddenly I re-discovered my passion for books. They calmed my restless mind, soothed my soul and opened up new ways to view my life.
What genera do I read? New adult romance and erotica are my go to reads. Some call it smut. I don't care. I like it. Scratch that. I love it! The smuttier, hotter, dirtier and darker the better. It was Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James that sucked me in. Occasionally I read other fiction, mysteries and paranormal books, but I always end up back with my favorite type of books.
Now is an amazing time to dive into reading. Indie publishing opened up doors for authors who wouldn't be published otherwise. And their books and stories are AMAZING! Just surf through the books available on Amazon in the contemporary romance section (over 109,000 published as of today). There are so many to choose from that I keeping buying books and feeding my "one-click addiction".
My blog goal is to share the books I love and those on my TBR (too be read) list. I want to help indie authors promote their books through my blog and on other social media sites. And I want to help YOU find your next book hangover!
Along the way I will share musing on other topics such as the Miss E Chronicles, Adventures in Weim World, The Travel Vortex and Things Mr. O Says.
Stick around! There is more to come!

Easier said than done, right? I agree, but I attempt to embrace it.
